Pretty sure it was Boris / Uniform
Great show, Uniform in particular blew me away.

I pretty well put live music on hold after the second kid arrived, so it was Yob & Bongripper back in 2018. I *would* have gotten to see Windhand and Vile Creature on the same night in May, but the world had other plans.

I feel like it was Alcest in February, in Luzern. It was touch and go if the event would happen but it went ahead. It was wonderful.

Cult of luna, ERR, intronaut in San Diego Same but in Toronto! and not even low-key cried during ERR's set. Feel stupid about it now but I'm pretty sure I meant to go to the Toronto show but had a "I'm way too tired to drive" and passed out instead moment. Kinda regret it now.

Saw them November last year, that was so impressive!
The last one I've been to must have been Heart Of A Coward and Monuments. We had a bunch of shows lined up in April and May (including Roadburn Festiva) but all of that was cancelled of course. Had a Deafheaven concert scheduled for today but nope That week we got blackwater holilight and cult of luna the next day, week after everything closed so it was a good dose before lockdown Roadburn!!! That one hurt ..

I stopped in to a small show in Baltimore by chance, and ended up seeing this piece featuring portions of "As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty" by Jonas Mekas. It's definitely been on my mind a lot in the last couple of months that something so out of my normal genre range will be the last live music I see in person for such a long time, and has definitely stuck with me since then. www.youtube.com/watch?v=M46ubgBXGY4

False, Tulip, and Burning at Mort's in Minneapolis back in March. Feels like an eternity ago. I think it ended up being False's final show.

I honestly think the last show I went to was Screaming Females last fall. I went to a show this winter (Tulip, Changeling, and someone else) but left pretty early because no one wanted to kick out Burzum Backpatch Guy with me and for some reason I wasn't enjoying the bands.

What's the last show you attended? Feels weird having not seen live music in so long, last time was the Human Impact release show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn. It was in mid-march, almost all the bands dropped off and may have been one of the last few shows at the venue since the pandemic.
I can't even remember if I am being honest. it feels very strange not to have been to any live music in 6 months now. I saw Tim and Eric in February here in Chicago, but I think the last show I saw was Riverboat Gamblers at Cobra Lounge here in Chicago in December. We had tickets to a lot of stuff between March and now...but....you know how that goes.

Last show wasn't exactly underground or metal but.. Elton John. It was pretty great honestly and his voice wasn't too bad considering his age. Played all the bangers of course.

The Riverboat Gamblers are usually super fun live. The last time I saw them Mike was crawling up into the rafters of the venue. Though technically I guess I saw him do stand up weirdly more recently.

Man, I miss Cobra Lounge too. So many good venues in Chicago. I hope they can make it through this.
