No, not the reboot on Netflix (it's fine if you are into true crime. It is basically a high budget Investigation Discovery show, but the only things it has in common with the original are the theme song and pointing out really creepy details.)
Anyone else have their cultural tastes or love of all things dark sparked by this show in the late-80's/early 90's? (I'm old)
I could fill up and moderate a forum like this one on everything I would have to say about it, but there were specific episodes creepier than just about any work of fiction. The rest stop killer, the abduction of Angela Hammond, and the Circleville Letters immediately come to mind.
Also worth noting that about 87% of the cases would have never happened if cell phones would have been around in that time frame.

Well, just finished the reboot and it was wild. FBI Files has some similar vibes with the show, original included. Thinking about watching the old show now...
Have you watched the documentary on The Golden State Killer? There is a new docuseries on it from a famous author, I'll be gone in the dark. Totally recommended, not sure if unsolved mysteries ever covered it.
Also, just remembered a show called "Sightings" which was pretty spooky as a kid.

I've read the book by Patton Oswalt's deceased wife. You could tell she put her life into that work. The old show is great - skip the ufo/bigfoot stuff (even if you are interested in those things like I am, it is really cheesy).
