HEALTH rules, love them. I only found out about Pissed Jeans in like the last year and I really like them too. Pissed Jeans is so fun live. The first time I saw them was at Fun Fun Fun Fest. The festival had set up all the drum kits on these rolling platforms so that they could change out between sets easily and they unlocked the wheels and were pushing the drummer all over the stage. They all have super normal day jobs and don't tour as much but if we're ever able to see shows again I highly recommend them.

ooh, another favorite Author & Punisher. One of the loudest shows I've ever been to, it was at Ultra Lounge in Chicago in 2013 (no longer exists) I felt like the bass made my whole body vibrate. It's that electronic doom metal sound

A&P is great. Saw him play with Uniform & The Body and Intensive Care, unbelievable show.

Every time this music video comes back into my YouTube recommendeds, I always gotta re-watch it. Pre-RTJ El-P doing a verse with Killer Mike, XXX era Danny Brown, and the rare Despot feature.

One of my favorite music video aesthetics. Dalek is cool. I really like their beats, pretty dark and heavy. I saw them with Infernal Coil and Sumac. That was a great show. Shabazz Palaces are another hip hop group I like. They have some good, trippy beats. This video is pretty simple, but I like it a lot. Someone mentioned an Eric Wareheim-directed video upthread. These two are great. Pretty opposite in theming and tone, but both are definitely that Wareheim aesthetic. Just a warning, the Tobacco video has full-frontal nudity, so like, don't watch it at work or whatever.
The new Oranssi Pazuzu album is killer, and I like this video they released for Uusi teknokratia. And to continue with the silent film vibe, this Portal video does a take on Poe's The Conqueror Worm.
Swinging back to Oranssi Pazuzu, here's a cool, atmospheric live recording of Ilmestys for Finnish public TV.

Blackup and those first two EPs are so god damn good. That sounds like it must have been a sick show, would love to catch Infernal Coil and Sumac live. Dalek somehow manages to always get sneaked into the sickest shows that you would never expect em to get on, one of my favorite shows of last year was seeing them along with The Armed.

It was one of my favorite shows that year (pretty sure it was 2018 but who knows anymore). Infernal Coil was just a massive, pummeling wall of sound and Sumac is crushing live. I've seen them a few times and they don't disappoint. That show was damn loud, especially given the fairly small space. I know Dalek has played a number of shows with Aaron Turner bands, and given their style of hip hop they do mesh well with heavy bands.
