community input: posting guidelines

i'd like to have everyone's thoughts on posting guidelines and rules. it's important to get everyone's input so we can come up with a set of guidelines to run the board by. the obvious ones to me are:

1: No Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, Transphobic, Abelist comments or anything that can be construed as hate speech. immediate ban.
2: Be kind, discussions are wonderful but personal insults will not be tolerated.
