What y’all reading? I just finished Kim Gordon’s book, “Girl in a band”. Prior to that I was reading “Vietnam” by Max Hastings, but I had to put it down for a bit (pretty heavy). Currently reading Flea’s biography....

Gideon the Ninth is so good. It's such a fun badass book and the setting is everything I love. Can't wait to read Harrow the Ninth (it's not out here until August).

Last book I finished was Alice Bag's 'Violence Girl', but that was weeks ago, have struggled to focus on reading anything longer than articles for a long time now.
That said, currently chipping away at Reni Eddo-Lodge's 'Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People About Race' and Jeff Vandermeer's 'Annihilation'. At my current rate I'll be finished those by December...

Just finished The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin, before that it was The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. Highly enjoyed both, and I found their reputations to be very well deserved. Currently reading Neuromancer by William Gibson and Sigh, Gone by Phuc Tran.

I have Neuromancer up next in my fiction pile, looking forward to it! Just finished Neuromancer, and definitely enjoyed it. I found it a bit hard to follow at times because of the style, which I'm sure was Gibson's intention. Nonetheless, it was a very captivating read. I'm also about finished with Sigh, Gone, and I absolutely love it. I was blown away by how easy it was for me, a white kid who grew up in the suburbs, to relate to his narrative as a poor Vietnamese immigrant. I just started Titus Groan, and I'm excited to get further into it.
