Since this came up and I've been thinking about it - Judgment Night
- Mortal Combat
- The Crow
- Singles
- Kill Bill 1 & 2
I know I'm forgetting some. Are there any recent films with good soundtracks?

I find score soundtracks rarely hold up without the visuals, but I'll think about some exceptions cuz there definitely are some.
For 'song' soundtracks, Magnolia and Limits of Control are 5/5. The Big Lebowsksi introduced me to a few things as a teenager. Does Chess (the musical) count? Because that kicks ass.

Lost in Translation A Place Beyond the Pines Diablo and DIablo II (video Game scores) - these are incredible, especially if you play D&D and want theme music Witcher 3
Mortal Kombat was a game changer when I was a kid. Hackers!

I wouldn't actually listen to it anymore, but the Scream 3 soundtrack was foundational for me as a teen.
The 1998 Godzilla one also loomed large in high school.

Haha, Chopping Mall has one of my favorite head explosion scenes.
That Romeo + Juliet soundtrack has some great stuff on it too

When I was a kid I had the Top Gun soundtrack on tape and I listened to it allllllll the time. Since then some soundtracks I've really enjoyed are: Lord of the Rings Tron: Legacy Black Panther Twin Peaks
