The soundtrack for Last Action Hero is pretty damn epic, and nostalgic depending on your age and music preference at the time. More serious soundtracks to check out would be Lawrence of Arabia and Last of the Mohicans, two of my favorites.

not a film, but can we talk about the soundtrack/sound design in the recent Chernobyl miniseries oh fuck yeah dude, Hildur Gudnadottir is so great. You probably already know but she did some work on Sunn O)))'s Life Metal too, which I also love yissss! Her Leyfðu Ljósinu album is incredible, too

When I was younger I adored the aforementioned Batman Forever soundtrack, which honestly looking back at it, I did discover some bands on there that I didn't know about before at the age of 13. It was a weird mix for sure, but it had stuff like PJ Harvey, Sunny Day Real Estate and Nick Cave.
I still like some of the stuff from The Crow and Crow 2 soundtracks too, and Lost Highway.
Other favorites: Bronson Lost In Translation Rushmore Royal Tenenbaums It Follows Mandy Trainspotting Only Lovers Left Alive Marie Antoinette Darjeeling Limited Romeo and Juliet (definitely a fair amount I don't like on here, but still some songs I have a great fondness for) Suspiria The VVitch Bottle Rocket Punch Drunk Love Synecdoche, New York

All good movies and soundtracks here so far!
I watched Birds of Prey last night and the music choices are top notch. But I'm A Cheerleader Until the End of the World (if you want to watch a 4 1/2 hour movie) Nosferatu has a really good score too. Haven't seen too many silent movies; do they all have these cool atmospheric scores?
