I know there's already some threads similar to this, but i wanted a more concise location for new music. I just got my vinyl pressing of the Bull of Apis Bull of Bronze record from last year and it's extremely choice.
in terms of recent releases, i just started listening to the newest Awenden record, "Golden Hour" its really quite good. Anti-fascist atmospheric black metal, with a little flair here and there. some OSDM vibes here and there which is a nice touch.
Gotta give the new Gaerea record a couple more spins, pretty interesting stuff.
Atavist - III:absolution is pretty solid too.
very excited for the new Jaye Jayle record. the new song is excellent.
what about you all?

New Bomb Turks are one of my all time favorite bands, especially live. I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet though.

I just saw them live for the first time last year. I don't know how I've missed seeing them all these years but I'm hoping they will tour again next year or something.

They are definitely a part time band these days especially since the singer moved to NYC, they usually only play a few dates a year if at all. I was actually thinking about flying out somewhere just to see them when this whole pandemic started kicking off.

Neurot Recordings is doing a "Music Will Get Us Through - Pay What You Can" thing and I saw this, so I bought it without even listing to it. Turns out it's pretty damn cool madeoutofbabies.bandcamp.com/album/coward

I just picked up the Mizmor discography and saw that album scrolling across the Bandcamp homepage several times and was wondering what was going on. Love that record. It's criminal Julie doesn't release more music. The Battle of Mice / jesu split is one of my favourite records.

I didn't even realize it was an older album. Now I'm bummed I totally missed out on them.

These are both in the 'new to me' category, but they've effectively taken up my last week:
Fear of a Brown Planet by Brownout - an album of instrumental Public Enemy covers by a kickass Latin funk band. Brownout has also done two full albums of Sabbath covers in recent years that are both fantastic.

Started catching up on newer cannibal corpse albums and just generally trying to find some good death metal bands like Blood incantation and the like. Also dipping into power metal.

New Bedsore is great dissonant death metal. Live Burial great old school Obituary. Undeath sounds like straight prime CC workshop actually.
