So I am constantly at a loss. I like dressing up, it's fun and gives me confidence, but I am a XXL with an odd body shape (size L shoulders/chest and XXL tummy) which leads to weird fits. The only brand of dress shirt I've found that fits and actually looks nice (i.e. a nice cut / slim fit but stretchy) is Walmart's George brand of stretch extensible shirts.
Anyone have a line on rad, plus size conscious brands to look at so I can like... Not ship at Walmart for nice shirts?

I have purchased stuff from ASOS and H&M online before and they have decent collections for bigger folks. Return policies are good so if it doesn't fit you can send it back. Quality from both of these brands is just OK but prices are pretty cheap so you get what you pay for. As far as being conscious or ethical both companies seem to be so-so. Either one should be an upgrade from Walmart at least.

I second H&M. In Europe they have a “conscious” collection which is made from more sustainable sources and yeah, they returns policy is also pretty good here. You can also pay within one month so if you send something back you only have to pay for what you keep. There might be something similar in your part of the world. Honestly, I buy most of my clothes this way because I hate going into stores and this way I can try things on in my own time/comfort zone.

I often see some fun patterns and more interesting things at Nordstrom Rack's website: www.nordstromrack.com/c/men/clothing/casual-button-down-shirts/big-and-tallI know that can be a little tricky as they carry a lot of brands but if you are able to find something you like it can be a good/more affordable resource. They have a great return policy as well! I'm a larger lady so I feel you on finding clothes. It's getting better, but I still find myself in the situation of having to do mail order becuase even retailers that carry larger sizes tend to not have them in the actual stores. Though I'm not going exactly going anywhere at the moment with the pandemic...haha Though not exactly the coolest, Eddie Bauer does have some nice staple pieces. www.eddiebauer.com/c/20054/mens-shirts?cm_sp=topnav_m_tops_shirtsThey also have a lot of initiatives within the company that provide funds for creating safe spaces/communities for LGBTQIA, BIPOC, and larger bodied people to explore the outdoors. So at least when I buy things from them I feel better about it than I would some other corporations. I think Target has expanded their line of clothes to have some larger sizes as well and their stuff I find is generally better made than Walmart and they seem a bit more ethical.

H&M carries a plus size line for women but I have had such bad luck with it too. The proportions are really weird and off and will fit extremely large in one area and then very tiny in another. It doesn't seem like their designers have studied larger bodies very well. At least not in the American locations.
