A.A. Williams' album Forever Blue is stupidly good. Also heard the Bada record a few days ago and I was blown away. Never heard of Bada and when I tried to google I kept getting results for NYC rapper Joey Badass Think I found them though - drone? Yes, it's a project Anna Von Hausswolff is involved in and that would have performed at Roadburn festival this year. badaband.bandcamp.com/releases

Quick plug for one of the most underrated bands I have ever followed - Obsidian Kingdom. They have a new album coming out in September on Season of Mist. Their debut Mantis is one of my favorite releases of the last decade (and the follow up is great too). Sort of an amalgamation of prog rock, a smidgen of industrial, and a very light touch of 90's alt rock. Oh yes, looking forward to that one! I loved A Year With No Summer and it's been so long since they released that!

Now listening to Rival Consoles - Articulation. Really good stuff, if you're into bleep-bloop electronic stuff (kinda similar to Jon Hopkins).

New Mesarthim alert! Because we all know that the best black metal is about space.

That Duma record is a banger. It + new Steve Von Till, and the posthumous Jason Molina LP in my inbox this morning. And a big night in for me tonight via Bandcamp Friday:

All the Late Night covers are excellent - particularly found of 4th of July which is my favorite Soundgarden song ever.

I picked up one of the original Giles Corey box sets from the Flenser - they found a dozen or so and put them up for sale at 3 am. Also, Translation Loss put out some old rarities so I scored the Hell/Primitive Man split on red vinyl and We Lost the Sea - Crimea. Wanted to buy a Rosetta album too but now I am brokeeeee

Where would you start if you were getting into Boris for the first time?

Where would you start if you were getting into Boris for the first time? Pink is probably the obvious starting point. I've always like Noise specifically because it covers all the genres they play in in a way that somehow makes sense together.
