Vast of Night was so cool. Definitely a slow burn but I loved it. Also I thought it was cool that aside from a couple scenes where the characters needed to move location quickly it felt like it was in "real time"

Saw The Invisible Man this weekend. I thought it was pretty good, especially for a modern horror film from a big studio. Lots of stark, quiet moments, and I think they did a good job delivering on the ultimate message of the horror of abuse in relationships, especially gas lighting.

If you have HBO, you should check out Lovecraft Country. It's been awesome

Yeah, I've been watching it since it started. It's great. I'm guessing this Sunday's is the season ender, as HBO seasons are usually ten episodes. This last episode was pretty tough to watch in parts, they do a good job of intertwining the magical/monsters part of the story with the racial injustice parts.

I really love how they have done that. They really flipped the script on Lovecraft in that way, he was pretty racist himself and I like what they did with it.
